Warehouse Operations¶
The warehouse is the central hub of Maryland Productions and Event Revolution, supporting all incoming and outgoing equipment, job preparation, logistics coordination, and post-event processing. This section documents the standardized procedures required to maintain consistent, accurate, and safe warehouse operations.
The purpose of the Warehouse Operations SOP collection is to ensure:
Accurate asset tracking between MP and RV inventory.
Efficient and error-free job prep, staging, loading, and returns.
Safe handling of equipment, power distribution, and rigging materials.
Clean, organized, and predictable warehouse conditions.
Clear communication between warehouse staff, logistics, project managers, and technicians.
Consistent quality control across all production types and scales.
All members of the warehouse, logistics, and technical teams should review and follow these procedures.
Warehouse Responsibilities¶
The warehouse team is responsible for:
Maintaining organization of shelves, carts, cases, and work areas.
Preparing and staging equipment for all outgoing jobs using pull sheets.
Verifying MP and RV asset ownership during scanning and return workflows.
Cleaning, testing, and resetting gear after each job.
Reporting damaged, missing, or non-functional equipment.
Coordinating with drivers for efficient load-in and load-out.
Managing consumables, spare parts, and repair inventory.
Enforcing safety protocols, PPE, and equipment storage standards.
Assisting technicians and project managers with technical prep needs.
Key Warehouse Workflows¶
The warehouse operates through a series of repeatable and interdependent workflows:

Scanning & Asset Control: Ensuring correct inventory movement using Flex and Current RMS.
Prep & Testing: Verifying fixtures, cables, power, audio, and video systems before departure.
Staging & Truck Loading: Organizing equipment to optimize pack order and onsite efficiency.
Returns & Check-In: Scanning, sorting, cleaning, and re-shelving all returned gear.
Reset & Maintenance: Running tests, repairs, updates, and equipment resets between shows.
Warehouse Safety: Implementing and enforcing safe working practices and emergency procedures.
